Working time records have been compulsory in Spain since 2019

Since Spanish Royal Decree-Law 8/2019came into force, every company in Spain —whatever its size— has been required to keep compulsory working time records for each employee's working day.

Under Spanish law, records must be kept for 4 years and be available to the Spanish labour inspectorate. Penalties under Spanish law for non-compliance can reach €7,500.

If you run a small business, you know meeting these obligations shouldn't be complicated. And with Nano, it isn't.

Time and attendance FAQs for small businesses

How does a small business start clocking in with Nano?

You sign up, upload your staff in under five minutes and employees start clocking in from the mobile app or the web. HR sees clock-ins in real time, exports the monthly report and sorts out issues from the dashboard. No installation, no hardware and no prior training: designed for small businesses that want to comply and forget about it.

What if Nano isn't right for me?

No need to book a demo: you sign up directly and start using it straight away. If it isn't right for you, ask to cancel within the first 7 days and we'll refund your money.

How long does it take to get time and attendance up and running in a small business?

Under 30 minutes. You upload your staff with a spreadsheet, set the schedules and share the app link with your employees. The first clock-in reaches the dashboard that same day and, at the end of the month, you export the legal report in PDF or Excel, ready for your accountant.

Does TramitApp Nano meet the working time recording obligation required by Spanish law since 2019?

Yes. Spanish Royal Decree-Law 8/2019 requires working hours to be recorded for every employee from the very first one, including in SMEs and micro-businesses. TramitApp Nano records clock-ins with a timestamp, keeps them and has them ready for the Spanish labour inspectorate, just like the rest of TramitApp's plans.

How is Nano different from a free clocking in app?

A free app usually just logs the time, with no company behind it, no guaranteed data retention and no support if something goes wrong. TramitApp Nano is designed for small businesses: it keeps records for 4 years, includes support and leaves your business ready for the Spanish labour inspectorate, at the same level as the rest of TramitApp's customers.

Can staff clock in on WhatsApp with TramitApp Nano?

Yes. Nano employees can clock in from the mobile app or, if they prefer, by sending a WhatsApp message, without installing anything extra.

Does Nano work for small businesses without an HR department?

Yes. Nano is designed to be run directly by the owner or team manager, without needing an HR department: the app simplifies clocking in, absences and reports so anyone can manage it with no prior training.

Get started with TramitApp Nano and see how simple it is for your small business to comply with Spanish working time law 🚀
